Become a GHT Trailblazer!
Help build trail on the 5.5 mile Song Hill Lane section between Conover and Phelps this year. We've whittled the $461,000 project down by $100,000, and have filed a very strong application for $182,150 from the 50-50 DNR Stewardship Program. Over $30,000 worth of in-kind hours have gone in to completing engineering on the the trail. That means that $152,000 remains to be raised to complete the local match and get the trail completed.

Connecting Conover to Phelps is a high priority! The first 3.2 mile segment of the GHT System right in Conover (GHT 1 on the Segment Map) is fully funded. It's being designed now and will be constructed this summer.
Work on the Song Hill Lane Segment (GHT 2 - 5.5 miles bridging Conover and Phelps) will also begin in 2014, $90,000 worth. See the home page for more details.
